Learn more about object storage from The HDF Group and OpenIO

Many organizations have petabytes of HDF5 data stored on premise NAS systems, and while object storage systems are generally more cost effective than NAS, applications written on POSIX storage won’t “just work” with object storage.

The HDF Group has taken the pain and expense out of this problem by developing open source libraries and services to enable HDF5 applications to transparently use object storage (on prem or in the cloud)—no modifications needed.

Last summer, we partnered with OpenIO to add our Highly Scalable Data Service (HSDS) on top of their flexible object storage solution. We are continuing that partnership with a joint webinar on object storage tomorrow, on Thursday, April 30th at 11:00 a.m.

You know as well as we do that workplaces physically look different these days, and the fiscal outlook for many companies may look different as well. Making changes in data storage may be one way to save money for your organization. You can read about OpenIO’s take on these changes in their blog post, Preparing for the aftermath: liberate your data!

Please join The HDF Group and OpenIO in this joint webinar tomorrow, Thursday, April 30th at 11:00 a.m. Central time by registering at https://zoom.us/webinar/register/2315874824982/WN_sbRiNFaXSMyQeNiigWFjzg
