
Tony Carrato
Tony Carrato has over 50 years of technology experience, including in systems and solution architecture, software development, systems & network administration, and cybersecurity. He is a regular speaker on open standards topic, including cybersecurity and systems architecture, in the US and internationally. In addition to serving on the Board of The HDF Group, Tony is also on the board of Telemetry Insight, a New Mexico startup focussing on oil production using AI and IoT technologies and is a Board Advisor to the Ortelius Open Source Project, on software supply chain security. In The Open Group, Tony Carrato is a member of the Steering Committee of the Security Forum at The Open Group, as well as an Invited Expert to the Security Forum.
Tony retired, after 20 years, from IBM in 2019, with a total of over 50 years of technology experience. He has lived on three continents and worked on all continents except Antarctica. Tony’s major areas of expertise are in technology architecture, including security, enterprise and solution architecture. His bachelor’s degree is in Electrical Engineering from New York University and a MS in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.
