The HDF Group distributes a variety of HDF technology products with a BSD-style open source license. Select the product of interest to view its license:

- Unsupported prototypes: HDF Perl, HDF5 .NET Wrappers
The HDF Group owns the products listed above and controls the licensing terms. Some were developed in whole or in part by the HDF team while it was at The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois. The University of Illinois transferred ownership of those products and all associated licensing rights to The HDF Group upon its spin-off from NCSA and the University in 2006.
