Latest Official Release of HDF: 4.2.6
|
The latest formal release of HDF4 can be obtained from this page. HDF4 requires the ZLIB and JPEG external libraries. The pre-compiled binaries below are built with these as well as the SZIP library. For convenience, these external libraries are included in the binaries below. |
External Libraries Used By HDF4
The ZLIB and JPEG external libraries are REQUIRED by HDF, but are not part of HDF. The SZIP library is optional. Be sure to review the SZIP licensing information when using SZIP.
External Libraries
| SZIP Compression | Information | Source [ 2.1 ] |
| ZLIB Compression | Information | Source [ 1.2.5 or 1.2.5 w/Cmake ] |
| JPEG Compression | Source [ 6b ] |
NOTE:
- The SZIP configuration changed in version 2.1, but this did not affect
the built SZIP 2.0 binaries.
HDF4 Software
The pre-compiled binaries listed in the table below are built with and include the SZIP, ZLIB, and JPEG libraries, which are external to HDF. Be sure to review the SZIP licensing information if using SZIP.
PLEASE take note of the compilers used to build the pre-compiled binaries below. If your compiler or compiler versions are different than those shown, then you may need to build HDF from source.
