H5View is still supported but will be phased out by the next release of HDFView. The HDF Java Products include four components: - The Java HDF Interface (JHI) to access the HDF4 library. - The Java HDF5 Interface (JHI5) to access the HDF5 library. - The hdf-object package, a pure Java implementation of an abstract model of data, which can read data from either HDF4 or HDF5. - HDFView, a Java-based tool for browsing and editing HDF4 and HDF5 files. This tool can do as much as JHV and H5View and also includes many new editing features. HDF5 Wins R&D Award for NCSA & DOE Labs ======================================= R&D Magazine, the magazine of research and development, will present a 2002 R&D 100 Award to HDF5, which has been developed by NCSA in collaboration with the Lawrence Livermore, Sandia, and Los Alamos National Laboratories.
