HDF 4.1 Release 2 for VMS Platforms
===================================

HDF 4.1 Release 2 for VMS platforms is now available on the NCSA anonymous 
ftp server (ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu).  Pre-compiled binaries for VMS can be found
in the directory:
    
    /HDF/HDF_Current/bin/

The VMS source code can be found in the directory:
   
   /HDF/HDF_Current/tar/

Following are the VMS platforms supported with HDF 4.1r2:

   DEC Alpha/OpenVMS AXP v6.2
   DEC Alpha/OpenVMS AXP v7.1
   VAX OpenVMS AXP v6.2

Newsletter 30, accessible from the HDF home page, or from the NCSA
ftp server, in the directory:

   /HDF/newsletters/
