HDFNOW
HDFNOW is a library that supports HDF for a Network Of Workstations. HDF-NOW WhitePaper presents the design issues of HDFNOW.
The SDS object is the first HDF object supported by HDFNOW via the Distributed SD (DSD) interface. DSD is designed for those who are familiar with the SD interface and experienced with message-passing programs. It is a layer on top of the SD interface and uses MPI for interprocess communications.

HDFNOW has revised the structure of HDFNOW file in verison 0.3. HDFNOW revision describes the reasons of the revision. HDFNOW revised file structure shows the new file structure.
